Frequently Asked Questions
What sets Fur apart from other groomers?
We redefine dog grooming as a personalized, stress-free experience centered on your pet’s well-being. At our salon, each dog enjoys one-on-one attention in a calm, kennel-free environment—free from noise, chaos, and long waits. Because true luxury isn’t just how your dog looks—it’s how they feel.
How do I book an appointment for my dog?
Click the “Book” button and fill out the booking information form on our website. A member of our team will then contact you to schedule an appointment to meet your dog’s grooming needs.
How often should my dog be groomed?
This depends on breed, coat length, and lifestyle. Most dogs benefit from grooming every 4 to 8 weeks, while some low-maintenance breeds might go longer between sessions. High-shedding or long-haired breeds may need more frequent care.
Do you groom all breeds and sizes of dogs?
Yes! We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and coat types. Pricing depends on the size of your dog. Specialized cuts and care are available for show breeds.
When should my puppy have its first grooming session?
Puppies can start coming in for gentle grooming exposure as early as 10–12 weeks old, provided they’re up to date on necessary vaccinations. Early visits help desensitize them to grooming for life.
Is my dog safe during grooming?
Absolutely. Your dog’s comfort and safety are our top priorities. Our experienced staff handle each dog with care, use pet-safe products, and follow best practices for stress reduction and safety monitoring.
What products do you use, and are they safe for sensitive skin?
We use high-quality, professional shampoos and conditioners that are safe for sensitive skin. If your pet has allergies or sensitivities, just let us know and we’ll select the most appropriate products.
How early should I arrive before my dog’s grooming appointment?
Since we don’t use kennels at Fur, we kindly request that dogs not arrive earlier than 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment.
What happens when my dog is done being groomed?
Owners will receive a notification of when their dog will be ready. We kindly ask that owners promptly pick up their dogs no later than 15 minutes after the conclusion of their grooming sessions. A holding fee of $25 will be charged for late pickup.
